Soke
Darrell D. Cain born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and lived the first 20
years in northwest OKC.
He started training in the martial arts at the age of seventeen under
Shihan Calvin Nielson in 1972. After Graduating from Northwest Classen
High school he attended several junior colleges in Oklahoma.
In 1975 he began his studies under Soke D.P. Hutton. and trained under
His guidance until July 2004.
Pursuing a career in Drafting & Design Darrell Spent 15 Years in
Ponca City, Oklahoma where in 1988 started teaching while still
training under Soke Hutton every Weekend in OKC.
Then in 1993 Conoco Inc. restructured and Darrell found his way to Utah
to work for Ford Bacon And Davis Engineering Inc. where he trained and
taught his sons for two years. In 1995 Darrell relocated to
Bartlesville Oklahoma and worked for a local engineering company there.
He taught in Bartlesville before relocating to Borger Texas where his
school Cain’s Dojo was located for four years. Soke Cain is presently
working in Whiting Indiana at the BP Refinery as a PSM consultant, Vic
Cobos teaches Cain Ryu in
Borger.
The World Union of Sokes promoted Grandmaster Cain to 8th Dan And Soke
of his own system Cain Ryu Bujutsu Karate in 2004. His certification
was issued
by the World union of Sokes and recognized with certificates from two
additional organizations
The Joel Chung Juk In Tae Kwon Do Assoc. and
The International Goju KempoFederation. Soke Cain was promoted august
18th 2007 by
O'Sensei Diaz & the World Union of Sokes to 10th Dan in Cain Ryu
Bujutsu.
Shihan Cain holds the rank of 8th Dan in American Fudoshin Bujutsu and
7th Dan in Sei Roku Zen Yo Karate, 5th Dan in Jujitsu, 5th Dan in Tae
Kwon Do, 5th Dan in Combat Karate, and 1St Dan in Chi Soo Do.
Soke Cain is the state representative for American Fudoshin Bujutsu
Karate in Texas.
In April of 2000 he was inducted into the World Martial Arts League
Hall of Fame in Germany for the American Bushi Award. In July of 2000
Soke Cain was inducted into the Eastern United States Black Belt Hall
of Fame.
In June of 2000 he was appointed the Texas Representative for the
International Association of Karate Kobudo by Grandmaster Carlos Diaz
PhD. In May of 2001 Master Cain was inducted into the International
Association of Karate Kobudo’s hall of fame held in San Juan, Puerto
Rico.
In August of 2001 Master Cain was inducted into the United States
Martial Arts hall of fame held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In May of 2003 Shihan Cain was inducted into The Illinois Combat Karate
Org. Hall of Fame and in October award recipient in the World Union of
Sokes Award banquet.
